Rob will be looking after the Working with Communities Team, delivering community engagement, citizen science, education programmes, and external communications for the Trust for a year while Polly is on maternity leave.
He has worked in national museums for 30 years, spending most of this time leading teams, delivering programmes and projects related to science education, science communication, and public engagement – working with a wide range of funders, stakeholders, and communities.
Rob’s youth was spent next to, on and often in the River Severn and its tributaries, which led to a passion for the natural world, an academic background in geology and biology, and ultimately a job at the South East Rivers Trust.
